When looking at running costs, it’s easy to target the outlays directly associated with the consumption of inks. But many expenses result from line changeovers and stoppages, which often aren’t properly taken into account. Changeovers incur loss of time and materials, even when the changeover processes have been optimized. Cut the number of line stoppages caused by the marking technologies and you save significantly on materials, time, labor and loss of production. Fewer line changeovers also results in less waste and a lower CO2 footprint.
Print performance
Traditional marking technologies each have system characteristics that limit the type, amount or speed of print it can realize. Even when a system has been optimized for performance, its capacity for a high and consistent quality of print at any production speed does not match that of UV DoD Piezo. UV DoD technology prints text and graphics in a single pass without the need for stitching. Quality and quantity of print remains constant at any production speed.
